Estimator
Full time position, Edmonton, Alberta

Northern Insulation is currently accepting resumes for the full-time position of Estimator in our Edmonton office.

Job description:

• Determine job requirements from specification
• Quantify material from orthographic and isometric drawings
• Determine job costs by a variety of computer applications
• Work with Project Managers and Field Supervisors to administer construction
  Specific Responsibilities:
• Contact and solicitation of packages from clients
• Review of specifications and contract documentation
• Detail quantity take off of requirements
• Obtain pricing from suppliers
• Project pricing and tender assembly, and follow up
• Periodic travel or site assignments throughout Alberta to field locations may be required
• Progress to managing jobs:
  • Contract document
  • BOM and material procurement, and equipment procurement
  • Labour ad supervision assignment
  • Client and management reporting and communication

Skills and Qualifications required:

• Mechanical, Construction, EDD, Petroleum Technologists
• Diploma or equivalent from an accredited post-secondary institution,
• Prior experience in an industrial construction environment would be an asset
• Strong computer skills
• Blueprint reading
• Customer care abilities
• Ability to deal with detail accurately
• Communication skills – both written, verbal and listening
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Strong time management skills, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Team player
